.XXX Domain Extension Overview
The .XXX domain is a sponsored top-level domain (sTLD) created specifically for businesses and individuals within the adult entertainment industry and related fields.
How the Registration Process Works
After placing your order for a .XXX domain, the ICM Registry (the organization that oversees the .XXX namespace) will reach out to you directly. You’ll be guided through their enrolment process to join the Sponsored Community, which verifies that your domain will be used appropriately. Once approved, you’ll receive a unique membership ID or token.
With this membership ID, log in to your billing portal with us, navigate to the Domain Management area, and link the ID to your .XXX registration. Once confirmed, your domain will be fully active, and you can configure your name servers as needed.
Important Note - Brand Protection
To have a live, functioning .XXX website, completing the Sponsored Community membership is mandatory. If your intention is only to secure the domain for brand protection, you can register without finalizing the membership step. However, in that case, the domain will stay inactive and will not resolve online.
