Adding 2FA to your cPanel Print

Enabling Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) in cPanel is a smart move to protect your hosting account from unauthorized access. Here's a clear, step-by-step guide to help you set it up 2FA:

  1. Log in to the cPanel account you wish to enable 2FA to.

  2. Go to SecurityTwo-Factor Authentication

  3. Click Set Up Two-Factor Authentication

  4. Scan the QR code with your authenticator app, follow the instructions listed, by scanning the QR code, enter the Security Code your app gives you and 'Configure Two-Factor Authentication'

  5. Click Configure Two-Factor Authentication

Please be advised that when 2FA is enabled, cPanel requires:

  • Your account password
  • A 6-digit code from your authenticator app

Please contact support@hostingroo.com if you:

  1. Lose access to the app or device ,
  2. Want to disable 2FA
